ioSafe announced a line of super rugged portable hard drive at CES last week. Some highlights include withstanding a 20' drop onto concrete, crush resistance up to 5000 pounds, and submersion in water for up to 3 days! All this, and they provide a forensic data recovery service complementary for 1 year should you need it. With these specs they are putting the popular LaCie Rugged line to shame. A USB 3 version is available now and a Firewire 800 version is due to arrive in March. Definitely picking up a few of these for my location kit.
